I had recently installed the trial version of My3G mainly to use for Skype & Facetime and had noticed battery life was really being effected (without use of said apps), then I started to notice the remnants of a banner advertisement at the top of the screen when unlocking and switching between apps, after uninstalling I am not seeing those ads any longer so I assume it was My3G doing it.
First question, has anyone else noticed these background ads? Second question, if you purchase My3G does it still do that?

My favorite is SilverStripe. Not as widely used or known, but I love the flexibility it gives me as a developer and it is pretty user-friendly, too.
Side note -- Ruby on Rails is framework, not really a CMS. It would be comparable to Cake, Symfony or Yii (frameworks for PHP).

Dear All ,
I have Macbook , come Dark on backlight , i change inverter but still same problem .
and when fix inverter cable to the inverter the normal disply comes back once , like only plug and unplg , ineed to knwo the problem from logic borad , or from other think .
Pls see this video , of this problem .

I've been using Keynote lately for work presentations. It's annoying not to be able to give them to PC co-workers. PPT such a piece of crap, and i'd like to be able to use keynote more, but sadly it's not super useful anywhere other than my computer.

Do any of you guys use pitchfork.com to read reviews on new and upcoming music?
I find their reviews don't really contrast well with my opinion of the album but I use it to find new CDs I might never hear of otherwise. I've found some amazing albums on there that would have slipped through the cracks of all this contemporary ********* on the radio.

If I understand you correctly, let me explain. Your iPod is a portable device. You can put whatever you want on to it. However, you're not meant to use it as a transfer-device, or get things off of it. It syncs to one iTunes Library at a time, and you can only sync to the iPod, not from the iPod. (Yes, I know there are workarounds. We're keeping things simple for him.)
I believe, what you're looking to do, is get all the music you know and love that's on your iPod back to your computer. Well, since you've neglected to tell us about anything else you own other than the fact you have an iPod, I can't help you any further. Either you can rip all of your CDs to iTunes, and start fresh by re-syncing it, or you can pull music off of that iPod using the guide I provided.

byteSizeOfElement is wrong. Your code will only work (if all other bugs are fixed) with 64 bit code, not with 32 bit code.

Doing that is just as simple. Copy your library (over the network, onto CDs/DVDs/an external HD, etc.) to your PC, open iTunes, then drag the copied library folder to the Library icon in iTunes. iTunes will process the dragged items, adding anything it finds to your library.

Yeah I am pretty sure it will work with the iPhone 4 because that is what it is being tested on right now. Supposed to be announced in June also.

My favorite is NoLock. I do not have to swipe to turn my ipad or iphone on. VERY cool. To me, this one app is the single main reason to JB.

Is it true you actually have to launch Launchpad first, then find your app and click it open? if so, how is that an improvement? By the time you perform those steps, you could have typed the app name into Spotlight, or opened the app folder in the dock.
Maybe there's a way to have Launchpad open upon startup of your machine by default, then just click open app icons from there, much in the same way Windows users have icons pinned to their desktops?
Looking forward to WWDC in a month when we should get a better idea of what Lion is really going to be like.

In its current incarnation this is really for beginners. If Apple adds more organization features, this could become a really nice way to organize apps.

Trust me, it's going to be much easier to just use MailChimp. They have a free option, as long as it's less that 2000 contacts and less than 12,000 emails per month. You just embed their signup form on your website, and you can compose the emails elsewhere and copy/paste, or use their forms. For someone that's not computer-savvy, it's really the best way by far, and since it's free, nothing to lose really.

i don't think the rogers video stores will have the phones. if i go, i will probably be going to the rogers store at 2599 pembina highway, since it's fairly close to my place. i don't think i'll be getting the phone since i am only 14 and have about $20 right now, but i'm gonna see if i can line up for the free breakfast! :D
