But seriously... if you want extreme portability a MBA will do great... the 13 inch ones are slim and have amazing battery life; if you're willing to get the 1.4/1.6ghz dual core instead of a 2.x one (dual), then you should be set. They all have the glass trackpad which is great as well.
Like I posted before though, I would suggest a MBP. They are still very portable and small in size compared to other laptops and have a performance (and build) increase compared to the regular, polycarbonate Macs.
What are you planning on doing with your computer? Where are you taking it? These things would help us out a lot :)

no it works you won't damage your machine. I have a 2009 2.66 mini with 8gb ram it works fine for more then 16 months. your chance of machine damage is nil because it is 8gb ram.

I saw some at Office Depot a week ago or so for around $179 "on sale" all colors.

It does now. AT&T has officially stated that they'll have two things for walk-ins without a preorder: Jack and ****. Nothing until 6/29. If you want one on 6/24, go to an Apple store and get there very early. Good luck.

Oh. The store I went to had a line that stretched nearly halfway across the mall, so they were pretty anal about making sure people actually in the line got in first.
We had about 480 in line, and they were only giving them to random people after everyone in line (or that had been at 6:00) got a shirt.

It's getting louder because Skype is a CPU-intensive program, which causes your processor to heat up. The noise you hear are the cooling fans. Any video chat program will do the same thing.

My situation: my boyfriend let me borrow his jailbroken iTouch, and knowing nothing about them, I updated the software and lost it all. So I have 4.2.1 software now, so I looked up the jailbreak for that. I used redsn0w and I thought it worked perfectly, but after I used the "Just boot tethered right now" option, the pineapple came up and all, but it's just...stuck. It keeps making the little slide-bar noise every 10 seconds and it looks like it's been loading for 10 minutes.
Also, I'm using an iPod touch 3g.

For sale: Ipod nano, 2nd gen, 4 gig. capacity, works great, like new: no scratches that I know of, screen is nice, has been kept in case or sleeve (from my 1st gen nano) all its life. It's the Product Red color. Comes with 'iwave' black metal case. Despite what the pictures may show, the screen is bright and clear; the red aluminum is uniform in color and rather immaculate.
Includes retail packaging (no headphones unless you're really interested in sharing used ones...), USB cable, documentation, stickers, dock adapter, a number of UPC-ed bags from when I opened it. I don't know if this is occurring here, but in many other instances of touting/scalping, people deliberately sabotage the auctions by putting in high fake bids - it's possible the highest of those isn't a genuine offer.

I am having the same problem since few days. I don't think it is keyboard though, despite 100% level showing up all the time. Though Mighty Monitor shows 70% and the batteries were replaced no later than 2 weeks ago, so it is definitely not a keyboard related issue due to low battery.
Yesterday I simply took out my iphone from the dock before putting MP asleep and it didn't wake up.

Just thought I would say, I have retinapad 1.1.2 (the updated version for 4.3.1) and it works perfectly on 4.3.1. Even fixes the bugs in 1.1.1.
